A very early morning in preparation to queue for the ferry… camper vans are last to board🤨. A beautiful day to cross the Cook Inlet – sunny and very minimal wind made for smooth sailing that lasted 3 1/2 hours on the Kaitaki. Arrived in Picton at 12:15 pm and we were off to the Info Center in Blenheim where we got the maps we needed and then off for wine tasting in the Marlborough region. The best was our first stop at “ Cloudy Bay” where we indulged in a cheese platter and Connie tried the wines while I sipped sparkling water (the responsible designated driver!). After wines we stopped at the confectioner “Makana” and sampled and purchased very delicious chocolates. Nap time at our campground, Blenheim Bridges Holiday Park. Tomorrow we will be off to do some hiking in Nelson Lakes National Park.
